About Us
The Drug Information Service (DIS) is provided by the St. John’s University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The service has access to a wide array of resources that assist in answering drug information requests regarding pharmaceuticals and dietary supplements to various client bases including pharmacists, physicians, nurses, other healthcare professionals, and consumers. Additionally, the DIS provides informational support to St. John’s Pharmacy faculty and preceptors.

The DIS is staffed by clinical faculty, LIJ pharmacy resident, and doctor of pharmacy students completing their advanced pharmacy practice experiences (APPEs). The DIS serves as a training site for student pharmacists. Under the supervision and guidance of the DIS staff, students participate in researching and responding to questions received by the Center.
