Mission

The St. John's University Drug Information Services' objective is to advance the utilization of proven medical practices, enhance the safety of medications, and elevate patient-focused pharmaceutical care. This will be achieved through the implementation of practical approaches, scholarly pursuits, and educational endeavors

Goals

  • Deliver precise and prompt responses to drug information inquiries from healthcare professionals.

  • Educate the community regarding significant advancements in the clinical application of medications.

  • Support the implementation of evidence-based medication use that prioritizes safety, effectiveness, and cost-efficiency.

  • Undertake independent research in the fields of drug information, medication safety, and pharmacy education.

  • Provide comprehensive education to pharmacy students and residents on drug information practice, critical evaluation of primary literature, and the principles of evidence-based medicine through experiential and theoretical learning platforms.
